ABOUT

From bamboo to the river, a life built around the cast.

Nice to meet you! My name is Jack Oele and I’m from the Netherlands. I’ve been fishing since I was a kid; competing in tournaments, exploring rivers, and chasing that perfect cast. Fly fishing has been a lifelong passion and I’ve devoted myself to crafting splitcane rods and more.

THE CRAFT

Every rod, landing net, and tube I make is unique and tailormade. I build my bamboo ferrules differently, six strips hollowed and glued, so the rod becomes lighter, seamless, and truly an extension of your arm.

Restoration is also part of my work, giving old rods new life while keeping their soul intact.

For me, rod building isn’t just a craft. It’s a way to combine style, precision, and love for the art. Each piece I create is recognizably mine: personal, elegant, and made to last.
