This 7’2” splitcane fly rod is one of my personal favorite tapers. Built with hand-planed bamboo ferrules, it offers a refined balance of delicacy and strength—sensitive enough for precise dry fly presentations, yet with enough reserve to cast a nymph when needed.
The rod is finished with gold-colored snake guides and a Bo Mohlin reel seat, combining elegance with functionality. Wrapped in dark olive Pearsall’s Gossamer silk, tipped with brown, it has a classic and understated appearance.
A true companion for small streams and tree-lined rivers, this rod is most at home delivering a dry fly with accuracy beneath overhanging branches. Responsive, delicate, yet spirited, it reflects both craftsmanship and character in every detail.
